Jaclyn Shettler, Summer Associate

Jaclyn recently completed her first year of law school after returning to school to pursue her dream of becoming a public interest attorney. Jaclyn has a background in human rights, political science, and sociology. In addition, she has more than 10 years of professional experience in project and program management, communications, and civil rights advocacy.

Her most recent experience was working for a small, woman-owned business in Washington D.C. as a management consultant in the government and private sectors. In her career as a communications and media specialist, she has worked as a communications and media professional with a variety of universities, national institutions, media outlets, and international organizations to bring attention to social issues of vital importance in the U.S. and around the world.

In the past, Jaclyn worked at a non-governmental organization dedicated to education and health development, FHI 360, as the Regional Communications Specialist to the Asia Pacific and the United States. At the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan, Jaclyn worked on behalf of clients to challenge civil liberties violations affecting immigrant and other communities across the State of Michigan.
